Mobile devices have long since become a necessity rather than a luxury and without mentioning any brands there are two giants that dominate the market, however with prices starting at £500 and upwards (and don’t get me started on those contracts) it can be very off putting investing so much money just to send your mates cheeky GIFs and play Pokemon.

The Motorola One Vision aims to provide a reasonably priced phone with functional and enjoyable features. One of its key features is the 48MP camera system powered by AI and Quad Pixel technology, because if you can’t photograph what you are doing every second of the day are you even living? It features an ultra-wide 21:9 CinemaVision display on the 6.3” screen that reaches from edge to edge, by combining four pixels into one large 1.6µm pixel, the 48 MP sensor delivers 12 MP photos with improved brightness and reduced image noise and 6 MP selfies. The camera also features auto smile capture[AM1] , portrait lighting, and smart composition, while the slimmer design of the phone as well as the rounded edges and precision-crafted Corning Gorilla Glass makes it easy to hold in one hand and snap selfies. This phone is water repellent, it has turbopower fast charging that will give you 7 hours of power after a 15-minute charge, and the 3500mAh should be enough to get you through the average day, probably less if you are Pokemoning hard.

The One Vision uses an Octa-core processor to intelligently capture photos and videos, you get 128GB of storage and can increase that up to 512GB with a microSD card, there is Dolby Audio to give you more control over your sound preferences, with preset modes for all sorts of content. Other features include Night Vision camera mode, Bluetooth 5.0, 4GB memory, and it uses Android 9 Pie with the latest Android OS upgrades. Whilst using this phone you can be forgiven for thinking it comes with a much bigger price tag; the camera and display perform well beyond its class, not only that but it looks stunning and sits more comfortably in the hand than some of the more pricey competitors. If you are big on photography, watching films and social media but small on dough this is a great choice to keep you in the loop without burning a hole in your pocket. RRP £269.99
